I’ve seen many subscription boxes and received a few. But WEvolve Box is my new favorite. This month’s focus is Altar Essentials.
I’m not sure which multi-armed Hindu goddess the logo is designed after, but it certainly resembles a peacefully meditating Durga.
Regular price for WEvolve is $49.95/month; during an Easter sale I got it for half off via Cratejoy. And this box is totally worth it: the estimated retail value for this box is $96!
And the packaging is well thought out and executed.
Here’s a peak inside the silver Buddha box. Most items are individually wrapped.
There’s a heavy cast iron incense burner plus coal and sand.
Did you know that incense can be burned in either stick or loose form?
If you have loose form incense (called resin incense) you need to use an incense burner like this.
You pour sand into the burner and place a coal on top of the sand. The coal is a small, round piece of coal it’s not a big chunk of charcoal like you’d use on an outdoor grill. Then you place some of the resin incense onto the coal. As the coal burns, the smell of the incense permeates the room.
This particularly incense burner is about 3″ long and retails around $7.00.
Aura Cleansing Candle
This 6oz. aura cleansing candle is from www.houseofgoodjuju.com and retails for $20. It comes in a tin with a lid; the tin is footed on the bottom to allow airflow while the candle is burning.
This candle was created on a New Moon and is designed to restore balance, harmony, and regeneration to your aura. Soy wax is infused with cypress, lavender, lemongrass, grapefruit, cedar, and rosemary essential oils. The candle is topped with agrimony, cypress leaves, lavender, lemongrass, clear quartz, flourite, and amethyst.
I love that the House of Good Juju’s website goes into detail about the properties of each of the ingredients. Interestingly, the candles are also blessed with the Hung Vajra Peh mantra which helps clear the space of old thoughts and negative energetic debris. The candles are also bathed in moonlight.
This is one powerful little candle!
There was also a selenite wand and resin incense (in glass bottle.) Both are in the beautiful Buddha Box. Don’t you just love how the selenite glows in the morning light?
About the Selenite Wand
Selenite is a crystallized form of gypsum, and comes in many colors. This wand is 6″ long, colored white, and is non-transparent.
As many different stones as I’ve owned over the years, I’ve never owned selenite. The energy of this wand is clear and upward moving. Selenite is said to move spiritual growth forward quickly by clearing negativity and distortions.
The Lunar Sea Witch Herb and Resin Incense Blend (pictured above in glass jar) is from Old World Witchery. It is a proprietary blend that contains crushed selenite gemstones, Sicilian sea salt, and some other secret ingredients. The Etsy page indicates that this is best used in “…any rite that calls on the power of the seas to aid in the Witch’s magic.”
Can’t say I’ll be casting any spells or performing any wiccan rites soon. Nothing nothing against Wicca, it’s just not my thing. However, as a Pisces, I definitely feel the vibe of the sea and all waters. I’ll be mindful when using this incense.
The Buddha Box
I love this silver, velvet lined Buddha Box.
The lid of the 5″x7″x2″ box has an image of the Medicine Buddha. The Wikipedia entry for Bhaisajyaguru gives many different meanings for this Buddha, I like the Tibetan role: “…for healing powers both for oneself and others, but also for the inner sickness of attachment, hatred, and ignorance, thus to meditate on the Medicine Buddha can help decrease physical and mental illness and suffering.”
In other words, this Buddha is specifically for healing and purification. A perfect fit for a box dedicated to Altar Essentials.
This month’s WEvolve Box also included a free month at www.yogaforyouonline.com – a $20 value.
This website offers unlimited and customizable yoga, meditation, and body sculpt (Pilates) classes anywhere, anytime. You can pick the style of class, the intensity of the class, and the length of the class to fit your needs. I’ll have to give this a try and see how it goes.
The WEvolve Box is definitely worth $50/month. Beautifully packaged, smells amazing, and brings blessings into your home.
