For my final mug of tea from Plum Deluxe, I tried the Vanilla Latte Tea. The other teas I tried from Plum Deluxe were the Mindful Morning and Gratitude Blend; all three were black tea blends. Plum Deluxe offers a variety of teas, so don’t be put off if you prefer a green, white, herbal, or oolong – they’ve got them, too.
To be honest, I’m not a latte fan. I rarely drink coffee, and milk products tend to play havoc with my digestive system (TMI, sorry.) On the other hand, I am a fan of both cardamom and vanilla, so crossed my fingers when trying this blended black tea.
It felt like home.
The tea was subtle, gentle, soothing, and a little earthy. Earthy not as “bogged down in mud,” but sensuous as a walk in a gentle rain.
Soothing as in home-cooked meal and cookies freshly from the oven.
And subtle as a gentle breeze.
I could easily see this becoming a favorite.
Vanilla Latte is a Quality Tea
The other thing I have to mention is the difference in the tea from Plum Deluxe. If you’ve never tried mall batch loose leaf tea, you must. The difference between my usual tea and a cup of this Vanilla Latte Tea is mind boggling. The difference is between good tea and average tea is, well, like the difference between fast food and fine dining. Same activity, far different experience.
The experience of a fine tea is steeped (ha! punny!) in the depth of taste, and in the length that that flavor stays with you in an incredibly pleasing way. Ahhhhh.
That’s it for my tea journey this week. Many thanks to Plum Deluxe for reaching out to me and sending me tea to sample. These are high-quality teas, and I definitely appreciate that quality; an order of the Vanilla Latte and Mindful Morning just might be on my to-do list soon. I received the tea for free and simply offered my opinion.
