There are many styles of meditation. One of the easiest to get started with (besides just breathing) is guided meditation. If you don’t have an existing practice, you will learn about a new technique. By the same token, if you do meditate regularly, they help keep the practice fresh.
This is a fifteen-minute guided meditation in the style taught by Jon Kabat-Zinn. The creator of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction at the University of Massachusetts in the 1980’s, Zinn’s appearance on Bill Moyer’s PBS special “Healing and the Mind” introduced him to a far wider audience. You can probably pick up a copy of Wherever You Go There You Are at a secondhand book store, or from this link on Amazon. And if you get frustrated, just breathe.
