For better or worse, the U.S. Presidential election is over. I am so very grateful for the quiet, for the lack of ads appearing in my mailbox every single day, for the lack of radio ads and newspaper ads, and ads in what seems like every single yard and business.
I hope some day we wise up and make the election “season” less than two years. Maybe we should shorten the election season to an actual season – like autumn.
Despite election nonsense, these last couple of months have been glorious here in mid-Michigan. Temperatures have been warmer, and cooler weather stayed away.
Yes, we’ve already had a little bit of snow. My favorite kind, in fact: here today, gone tomorrow.
And with the warmer weather came an extended bloom time for a brave rose and hibiscus. I got two new lazy beds put in…I put down cardboard, topped with trimmings, compost, and garden soil. That will create small beds in no time.
Ahh, no more words, ok? Just enjoy the pictures and breathe.
You’re still alive, life is beautiful, and all is right in your world for this perfect moment.
