Hopefully your Monday wasn’t all that moaning, and you’re ready to celebrate the sky. I also hope it’s not a rainy day in your neck of the woods, because that would take the fun out of what we’re doing today.
Head out the door and go to a place where you can safely sit or lie on the ground undisturbed for a bit. I’ll probably head to my back yard and grab a blanket; maybe a pillow or rolled up coat for a head rest. Walk mindfully to this place, breathe, pay attention to your steps, and to the weather.
Pick your place, lay the blanket out, then lie right down on your back and admire the sky. Do whatever you need to do to be comfortable. If sitting in a chair is better, do so. These things I’m asking you to try are more suggestions or guidelines than hard and fast rules.
Keep breathing. Admire the blue or the grey or the white fluffy clouds.
Close your eyes and sink into the earth. Feel all the tension in your body drop.
Open your eyes and see the immensity of it all. Breathe some more.
When you’re ready, pick up your blanket and go about your day, renewed and refreshed.
